RETURN TO FACE-TO-FACE

STAGED RETURN

The national Scout Association is guided by the governent agency, the National Youth Agency, to decide what is possible and when.

There are several stages to progress back to normality.

RED: No face-to-face scouting

AMBER: Small groups, day activities. Social distancing

YELLOW: As Amber, but some camping may be possible.

GREEN: Indoors, outdoors and overnight activities allowed, but there may be some restrictions

Scouting Readiness stage for each area: (on national Scout Association website)

HOW TO MOVE FORWARD

To move to a new stage, several conditions must be met:

  1. Scout Association allow the new stage
  2. Risk Assessment for Covid safety approved by the Group and Scout District
  3. Appropriate hygiene controls in place (Group Covid Guidelines)
  4. Parents must give explicit consent

WHERE WE ARE NOW

RED: No face-to-face scouting

...but AMBER from the end of March

We are ready to restart outside face-to-face meetings after Easter
