Subscriptions

These are £50 per term, due at the start of each term. Please help us by getting subs in on time by paying by bank transfer: email me for our bank details if new to the Troop.

After paying, please fill out the (very short) on-line form on our website:

This will now be the way of recording payment and will prompt us to check receipt and email confirmation.

New scouts (starting this term): we do not expect payment for two or three weeks, until the decision to join.

Sunday afternoon, April 24
The annual Scout St George's Day Parade is for everyone involved in Scouting in St Albans. This is a celebration by Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers together from all over St Albans. 

St George is commemorated as the patron Saint of Scouting by all denominations and in many countries of the world. There is a parade through the city to a short ceremony,which will be by the Lake in Verulamium.

Meet by 1:30 p.m. outside the Civic Centre. Full uniform.

Scouts should be collected from Verulamium Park, next to section of Roman Wall near the football pitches after the finish (about 4:00 p.m.). Scout MUST inform a Troop leaders when leaving there and not just "disappear".

Please do NOT email to say can/cannot attend: just turn up.

We hope that lots of scouts will want to participate in this our main activity until Summer Camp. We are planning our camp for the weekend at Tolmers. It is a mixture of open field and woodland. There are various camp site activities already booked. As well as some of these, the programme will be a mixture of activities and games: this site is excellent for wide games. I hope that Scouts will do some part of the Challenge badges. We will have a camp fire on the Saturday evening. We will ask what food they would like when meetings restart after Easter.

We will leave 6.30 p.m. on Friday and return after lunch on Sunday.

The cost will be 19.00 pounds inclusive and this should be paid by by April 29 (bank transfer or cash). Final details, equipment list etc., are in the letter, linked above.
